I am not a Neo-Pagan, I am not Wiccan, I am not a New Ager, I am not a nature worshipper. I am a Reconstructionist, I am Kemetic Orthodox. Though we may be grouped as "Pagan" in the broad sense of the word, we are not in any way a Neo-pagan (in otherwords, nature-based, goddess/god centred.) I am not a hard polytheist, I believe in monolatry (the many in the one). I am Kemetic Orthodox, I do not pick and choose what parts of my faith I prefer (not that there is anything entirely wrong with that, but that's another topic).

Okay on to other things. I was reading some things last night or the night before, and I came across a discussion on the Beliefnet boards about how the Kemetic Orthodoxy refuses to answer questions when they question the divinity of our Nisut(AUS), and that we claim to be practicing our faith based on research alone, and if that was true then why are some of our practices not conforming to the texts. The Nisut(AUS) along with a couple other members of The HON said, what I do believe, that we should not be reading a text and trying to conform our beliefs to the text. The Kemetic Orthodoxy is a living faith, and being so it can evolve, change, new practices can develop over time, as they did in the past. The Religion of Kemet is not Dead it lives through the Kemetic faiths! Nekhtet!
